He first not surprisingly targets Pete with his central eye (minor) giving him -5 to defenses and vulnerability to fire 5 for 1 round. He then activates two eye rays, fire against Pete (duh), 18+15 vs Ref-5 hits for 17 fire total (includes vuln). Kex looks as surprised as me when finding out that Pete has no natural vulnerability to fire. "What kind of 'ice' archon are you?" The other eye ray is fear vs. Jozan, 9+15 vs. Will succeeds; Jozan gets -2 attacks on Kex for the rest of the encounter and must move his speed away from Kex next turn. Surprise, surprise, Kex uses one of his action points to fire two more eye rays. Fire again against Pete, crit! Uh oh, that's not good for Pete, who takes 26 fire total (includes vuln.).
