Hello All,
Does anyone have any thoughts on implementing 4E style At Will/Encounter/Daily spells for SRD spells?
I'm thinking something roughly like this:
HIGHEST LEVEL OF SPELLS YOU COULD CAST: Daily (6-8 hours rest)
SECOND HIGHEST LEVEL OF SPELLS: Milestone (every 2-4 encounters, whenever the DM decides an operational goal has been met)
THIRD HIGHEST: Encounter (refresh after a 5 minute break)
FOURTH HIGHEST: At-will
For number of spells known, use the Sorcerer chart. Wands & Scrolls would be more limited.
Thus, a 8th level caster could utilize level IV magic on a Daily basis. Level III magic on a milestone basis (likely ~2 times/day). Level II magic each encounter. Level I magic and cantrips at-will. He'd be able to select from 3 level IV Daily spells, 5 Milestone spells, and 6 encounter/at will abilities.
