Cairn waved his massive stone fists about absently while Argenti's stone sped past him, striking the meenlock who couldn't get his claws around Cairn's rocky form.

OOC: Cairn & meenlock missed each other; Argenti struck the meenlock for 9. Rolls:
Meenlock vs CairnClaw: 1D20+4 = [5]+4 = 9

Kaliban felt the psychic wave push towards his mind. On reflex Kaliban threw his will into a shield that the wave washed over and around leaving his mind untouched. He raises his bow again and looses an arrow at the elder but his aim was off. The arrow flew wide and bounced off the wall behind the creature. Kaliban then moves closer to the elder meenlock. He keeps an eye on the stagnant pools and makes sure he does not step to close to their edge.

OOC: Int Save: 1d20+3 17

Action: Shortbow attack on meenlock elder: 1d20+5 10 1d6+3 6
Move: I will move my full movement towards the elder making sure to not enter any of the pools or water.

Ethian also felt the mental onslaught of the elder Meenlock but was able to push it away.

He raises his holy symbol to bolster his allies, and feels the waves of fear flow away.

OOC: DC14 int save: 20 Pass
Move: none
Action: channel divinity, twilight sanctuary. Allies within 30 ft with fear have it removed, those without fear gain 7 temp hp at the end of the turn for 1 minute. Ethian will do this every round: remove fear first, and if no fear, give 7 THP
bonus action: direct spiritual weapon to strike the young meenlock: attack with advantage (from faery fire 25), damage 10

Concentrating on faery fire

I'm very sorry for the delay. RL has been demanding!

Legend
The peculiar psychic static that permeated the damp, mossy chamber kept everyone off their game. It was hard to see; hard to walk; hard to think. Only Ethian and Argenti had managed to strike the younger meenlock, and only then because of the glow created by Ethian's faerie fire.

As terrible as things were, some small relief came from a softly glowing, positive energy that Ethian willed into existence through his faith. For a brief moment, heads cleared and spirits rose.

Crock Jon tried reaching for the wrinkled old elder, and it looked deep into his eyes. His vision shifted and blurred and he felt dizzy and miserable once more.

OOC: Crock Jon missed; Argenti missed Ethian, but got the faerie fired meenlock for 9 (oh, I have that above); Cairn missed; Kaliban missed; Ethian did 10 to ffML & soothed everyone; Hawthorne missed; geez that's alotta missing. MLElder will do 20 psychic damage & curse poor Crock Jon if he fails a dc14 WIS save. "Until the curse ends, the target has disadvantage on WIS & INT saves, all ability checks, and the elder is always invisible to it. On a successful save, the creature takes only half as much damage and isn't cursed."

OOC: DC 14 Wis save: 1d20+0=6. Fail.

Hp: 0/36. He's down.

Crock Jon stares into the Elder Meenlock's eyes when suddenly the eyes disappear, and he finds himself gazing into a void. Then the Elder Meenlock itself disappeared, and all he saw was the cave. Then the cave disappeared, with all of his friends. That was when he collapsed to the ground unconscious, cracking his head on the basalt floor of the cave.

EDIT: see post 741 below.
