a real site generates potential d20 modern plot

Go figure, reality forming the basis of a d20 modern game. Although, I am thinking more along the lines of CoC. ;)

Anyway, the real life inspiration: www.bookcrossing.com

The suggested plot: a sick, twisted individual sends around a copy of a suitable Mythos book - the Necronomicon being unlikely, so perhaps one made up for this specific purpose - in order to draft more followers for his foul god.

OR

In a more espionage-oriented game, a certain book might be used to spread secret data, a virus, or whatever else is cooked up.

OR

In a non-CoC, but X-Filesy type story, what if a book is both sentient and bloodthirsty, killing those that pick it up or driving those that read it to murder and suicide.

On another note, has anyone here had any experience with bookcrossing?

Munin says there is much goodness in this thought.
Must consider it further.

Perhaps one could combine this idea with another elsewhere on the forums wherein the book actually sucks the reader into it's horror filled pages; much carnage soon to follow.
