Yeah, number 2. I think it just overall looks better. The blue box stands out and not in a good way.

The second is better, but there's a few things I would try.
- Fix the word "Intrigue," as above.
- The fancy cross doesn't read "plus sign" to me. Try working a plus or ampersand into the rapier hilt.
- Try "stabbing" the letters with the rapier -- weave the blade into the letters. Use the blade as the crossbar of the H.
- Do something similar with a long, straight rose stem through "Intrigue."
- Different fonts.

The logo on the first one doesn't seem to have any relation or alignment to any other element on the cover, except perhaps being centered. But I can skim the image and immediately understand that "Honor & Intrigue" is, indeed, the title.
The second image is just...I understand why people like it, but it just looks like a chaotic mess to me. Too much stuff criss-crossing. The lack of an "A" before "Swashbuckling RPG" is also annoying.
