Adamantine: Crystalline or Amorphous?

Ironically, in RL, glass and ceramic is generally amorphous, and not crystalline.

For D&D, I'd rule that "crystalline" means "stuff that breaks or shatters." Forget RL. :)

This probably doesn't help, but it definitely is in favor of crystalline...

Adamant derives from Greek adamas, adamant-, "unconquerable; the hardest metal; diamond."
