Zardi, not having much to say so far, walks forward to stand next to Carlotta. He reaches into his pouch, pulls out a handful of bees, and offers them to her as a gesture of good will. "Try them...they are very chewy."
[sblock=motivation]For Goliaths, (especially barbarians like Zardi), food is rather important. They are big creatures, after all, and eat quite a lot. For a Goliath to offer to share his food, especially to someone who did not help kill it, is a very nice gesture of faith.[/sblock]

Goldenhorn nods along with Spider's words. "I agree," he says. "And if your people are not suited for a direct assault, perhaps you might provide some sort of distraction. How large is this Ruthak's force?"

"Try them...they are very chewy."

Carlotta looks somewhat suspiciously at the bees, but accepts them. She picks one up gingerly, holding on to the stinger, bites the rest off, and chews it slowly.

"Not bad," she says, "but I'd still rather have the honey."

"Okay, let's do this thing," Ismene says. "We will keep handsome here safe and take him the rest of the way if this goes bad."

"And if your people are not suited for a direct assault, perhaps you might provide some sort of distraction. How large is this Ruthak's force?"

"They're a little bit larger than my group right now," she says. "They've got a couple of really nasty fighters, plus some archers and a pack of vicious dogs they've been training up. The trick will be getting them out of that tower. I suppose we could provide some sort of distraction. Ruthak knows who I am, and I'll bet he'd like to get his dirty mitts on me. If you've got any ideas how to pull this off, though, let me know. Once you see the tower, something might come to you. So, are we all ready to go?"

"I am willing," says Goldenhorn. Then he glances at Tyris. "Except that this one might need an escort somewhere, as well. Tell me, what is your name? Where were you heading when you encountered those bees?"

Tyris scribbles his name on a slip of paper and passes it over to Goldenhorn. He then mimes a man hanging from a noose, then himself drinking. He glances around to see if people appear to understand him. He goes on to pantomime a man burning, then himself inspecting the ashes, followed by a hole in the air and falling. He points to where he came out and shrugs.

"I think he said he was at a party, got drunk and fell asleep over there." Zardi points in the same direction Tyris just pointed. He looks back at the mysterious man and says "You probably shouldn't drink so much".

"Tyris," says Goldenhorn, reading the scribbled note. He looks somewhat confused by the gestures. "A hanging? You can't mean to say that you were hanged, as that would be preposterous. A hanging man.... Do you mean that you came from The Hanged Man, in Daunton? Surely not."

Tyris glares at Zardi and shakes his head emphatically at him, then points to Goldenhorn and nods an affirmative.

OOC: As a player, love the interpretation there bluesfella. Tyris obviously appreciates it less, but hey :p
