Despite suffering light blows from hammers and dogs, the queen reaches up with a chitinous leg and stabs at Rohna. The goliath is unharmed, but the force of the blow still pushes her around on her mount. The bloated ant raises itself up, shudders, and then releases a cloud of choking gas. All the nearby ants twitch their antennae in response to some stimuli.

The ants crowding Olaf bite and sting at the boar, dealing some minor cuts and abrasions. One clamps down hard on Gretta, catching the dog in its mandibles.

The flying drones dive in and out of the group of adventurers. Rohna and Venakhad are slightly injure by their stingers, but Roswyn takes a more telling blow. In response, the gnome disappears.

Thalen catches the eye of one of the strange aquatic bugs and finds herself slowly walking towards the water, the stream starting to freeze over as she approaches. The bugs snap at her with their pincers, but she retains enough awareness to avoid their blows.

Bloaty takes 8 damage from Rain of Blows, and then gives Rohna a kick as a minor, hitting Reflex 15, as it doesn't look like Rohna has her shield equipped. Rohna takes 0 damage and is pushed to K16. As an immediate reaction, Gretta hits the queen for 6 damage. The big ant then uses Acidic Cloud, creating a close burst 4 zone. When you start your turn in the zone, you take 2 acid damage for each giant ant also in the zone.

Soldier 1 bites Olaf, hitting AC 22 (I forgot the mark in the roll) for 12-5=7 damage. Olaf is now also grabbed by Soldier 1.

Soldier 2 stings Olaf, hitting AC 29 for 7-5=2 acid damage, and 5 ongoing acid damage which Olaf will never care about.

Soldier 3 attacks Mitra, but misses.

Soldier 4 bites Gretta, hitting AC 22 for 10 damage. Does Gretta have resist 5?. Regardless, Gretta is grabbed.

Drone 1 does a flyby attack on Venakhad, hitting for 0 damage and 5 ongoing acid.

Drone 2 does the same thing, hitting AC 22 for 8-5=3 acid damage.

Drone 3 buzzes Rohna, hitting AC 30 for 9-5=4 acid damage and 5 ongoing acid.

Drone 4 sees no reason to not follow his brothers and performs a flyby attack on Roswyn, hitting AC 30 for 9 acid damage and 5 ongoing acid. As a reaction, Roswyn uses Fade Away to become invisible.

Crayfish 1 scoots around a bit and uses Angler's Lure on Thalen, hitting Will 20. Thalen is pulled to Q12 and marked. It then claws at Thalen, but misses.

Crayfish 2 also claws Thalen, and is also terrible.

Holy cow there are a lot of guys. Please kill them so future updates can be quicker. Also, anyone who starts their turn in the queen's cloud can enjoy 18 acid damage. So there's some more incentive to squash those ants.

I'm not really familiar with the mounted combat rules, so if I mess something up, please let me know.

The acid scours Doggie's fine parts, so Tondrek calls him back. At the same time, he tunes some dials on his complex crossbow. It releases a sharp hiss as it builds up a blue charge that darts at one of the ants. As she and Olaf are scalded by the acid, Rohna looks around to find what other ants have a grip on her mount. Swirling Kordestad over the assemblage, the goliath pops the second soldier ant in the head. The energy flows up over the fighter's armored limb to invigorate her for the next assault.

Mitra seems unaffected by the cloud and growls as the rest of her master's menagerie is burned by it.

Gretta makes ready to snap her lava slathered jaws into the limb of the queen one more time but her form explodes like the vaporizing top of a volcano as the acidic cloud disolves her form, leaving only a rapidly cooling puddle of lava and a tortured echoing peal of a yelp.

Rohna pulps one of the ants beneath her hammer, but as she tries to lead Olaf away, one of the insects latches onto his leg, holding him in place.

The ant queen snaps its mandibles fiercely at Rohna, but the goliath is not impressed.

One of the soldiers tears into Mitra, disrupting her form. The ant grabbing Olaf tries to sting the boar, but the animal twists away.

The flying drones flit through the group, stinging as they go. Thalen and Tondrek are able to fend off their attacks, but Venakhad and Rohna are not as fortunate. Luckily, the powerful warding prayer protects them from the worst of it.

The waterbugs continue their ineffectual assault against Thalen, who is able to meet each claw with shield and blade.

Curiously, Roswyn seems to have disappeared.

As Olaf moves away, both the queen and S4 get opportunity attacks on him. The former misses, but the latter hits AC 24 for all of 1 damage. More importantly, S4 grabs Olaf with its MBA.

The queen starts her turn adjacent to Rohna and takes 13 damage. She'll spend her action point to bite twice at Rohna, missing with one attack and failing to overcome resist with the second. Well done, queen.

S3 is determined to get the best of Mitra. He crits, dealing exactly 13 damage. Mitra disappears, Rohna takes 8-5=3 damage. S3 will move up to Rohna.

S4 attempts to sting Olaf, but misses.

The drones all use fly-by attacks on a separate PC. Thalen and Tondrek are missed, Rohna and Venakhad are hit with 23s vs AC. Rohna takes 7-5=2 damage and Venakhad takes 9-5=4 damage, and ongoing 5 acid to both.

The crayfish are just very inaccurate bugs.
