OOC: Does anyone know what's going on with this thread? I sent Voda a PM but haven't heard back. He seems to be active on other parts of the forums.

The battle rages on.

After the valiant strike of our heroes, four corpses already pile in the wet floor of the sewers.
However, the twisted mercenary company strikes back fiercely. Grakk is flanked by the mercenary he attacked and the nearby dwarf. Both hack at him viciously, the barbarian amulet striking back, blooding the fighter! In a blood frenzy, the fighter goes berserker, and lashes at the barbarian again, bringing him to the edge of death.
The other mercenary fighters and lackeys swarm the remaining heroes, but their clumsy attacks prove no match for the reflexes and expertice of Jarel, Soldier and Morvannon.
From the distance, the Sorcerer sits a curse over Grakk, Jarel-Karn, Morvannon and Soldier, hexing the genasi and the half elf only. He follows with a thunder spell, hitting Soldier and Mikara square. The thunder washes over Jarel Karn harmlessly.
The Mercenary Leader barks and order and moves for cover. At those enchanted words, the fighter attacking Grakk tries another desperate attack, forced by the Leader's enchantment, but his broken body is not able to move fluidly , and the attack fails.

SORRY for the terrible delay. I was on the field this last 3 weeks, and had only erratic internet connection, plus a :):):):) load of work to do. But, this weekend I'm home, so, game on!

Soldier strikes the mercenary infront of the swordmage, and the warforged is still concussed from the mercenary mage's attack

Shades that was loud!

Mikara sees that Grakk is in trouble, and is so overcome with despiration (or stupidity (it's hard to tell in her condition after that thunder blast)) she pays no heed to the the foes surrounding her.

Evidently neither do they, for she slips uncontested through their ranks and manages to free an arrow from her bow. Surprisingly, the shaft sails not only true, but slices through her target's throat and spine. Mikara's eyes go wide with surprise.

Did not see that one coming.

The paralyzed fighter drops to his knees, helplessly bleeding to death and choking on his own blood. Attempting to look like she meant to do that, she turns and attempts an evil stare in the direction of Grakk's other assailant, but given that her head is still throbbing from the thunder clap, the expression is more like that of someone about to vomit, "Don't...touch...the...big...guy!"

From out of the rambling, three notes seem to resonate in Grak's ear. Dodge! Back! Heal! While no words were clear, the message was. Even as enemy swung, Grakk found himself not just dodging but moving away with more grace that can usually be said of his race. His heart pumped with renewed vigor, keeping him in the fight.

From behind the line of fighting, Bell's concentration continues. She drags her long sword along the floor in front of her and scraping noise seems to assault one of the fighters in strage ways. He grasps at his ears even as soldier finds new options.

Minor: Majestic Word on Grakk. He spends a healing surge, gains its value +4 hp. Grakk, if you want to slide one more square for free you can. I wasn't sure if you'd want to back up and heal more or keep hacking.
Standard: Dissonant Strain on MF2. 17 vs Will, 7 damage and the target takes -2 to attack rolls till the end of Bell's next turn. Soldier may make a saving throw.

Grakk feelings healing warth and power flow through his body for the sounds of Bell's words. He stands tall and wipes the blood from his eyes and then steps confidently in the direction of the dwarf who attacked him. TThank you Bell for your healing words. I will kill this dwarf now.

The barbarian raises his greataxe high and smashes it down on the dwarf. Piece of the dwarf's armor shatter as it can't take the shear force of the blow by the barbarian. Blood gushes forth from the wound as the axe sinks into flesh and bone.
