GM: I shall assume that Petron takes it for the time being as he has no potions of healing on his character sheet.
After about an hour's rest at the shrine to Avandra, you thank Tomlin for his hospitality and dispose of the elf bodies. Suiting yourselves up for the next leg of your journey, you ready your rope, grapples, hooks, and pitons and set out for the Titan Mountains. Even here, you can see them cresting over the horizon in great majesty, the peaks of some climbing high above the clouds. You are reminded of the old tales, which speak of the great Titans who used to dwell there and for which the mountains are named. The breath-taking view certainly helps conjure up the image of giant-sized men of extraordinary powers, capable of phenomenal feats of strength and magic. You just hope that there are no Titans left to assail your passage, as the acerbic nature of these powerful beings is just as legendary.

You spend several hours venturing up the foothills before breaking for a mid-afternoon meal in a clearing alongside the path that leads into the mountains and to your eventual destination. As you sit back to rest a bit and allow yourselves to digest, you see Awna get up and wander off a few meters away from the group. She is staring off southward, towards the border of the Johak Empire, a blasted land, even from this vantage point. You know the border lies only a dozen or so kilometers away but from your current height you can see quite a great distance. The foothills eventually give way in the south to a desolate plain of cracked earth and brown land which seems to have lost its fertility eons ago. Awna stands there transfixed.

Krawlinstar moves beside Awna, looking at the same view she seems to be looking but he don't see nothing besides foothills and the border with the Johak Empire. he then looks at her and says: Awna, what you are doing here, looking at nothing? you saw something?

Petron ignores the little girl for now, he knows she's a witch, even if she claims she's not, and Erik says that's "normal". The heck with their definition of normal! If she brainwashes you with her eyes, she's a gods-damn witch! His thoughts occupied, Petron seems lost and distant, quite different from his usual cheerful self. Even Amica doesn't get the attention she was expecting, or fearing, she would receive.

Erik feels his brothers irritation and disturbance, but he doesn't know the words to ease him. He listens for the girl's answer to the cleric's question.

"The dark red cloud is coming. Can't you see it?" Awna asks while pointing her finger south. However, even as you look in the direction she points, you can see nothing that looks like a dark red cloud, just the blasted lands around the border.

Noticing that the girl may be seeing something he can't,Krawlinstar tries to know more about the subject.

''Dark red clouds? i can't see anything besides the blasted Johak land. what its causing the clouds to turn red?

"Red clouds mean a storm," Amica notes, squinting into the distance. "You've never heard the old farmer's rhyme? Red clouds at morning, travelers take warning. I don't see any red clouds now though...and it's not morning. Besides, that only applies looking to the east, where the sun comes up."

She patted Awna's shoulder indulgently. "Relax. Things'll be fine."

"I don't know," Awna replies to Krawlinstar, "they're just red." Awna slowly walks back to the group with a haunted look on her face. She seems quite distracted by the whole situation.

"Invisible red clouds aren't anything we need to worry about. It's time we packed up and made our way further up the mountains," Omar says dismissingly. "According to our map there is a pass we should reach before nightfall that has a suitable camping ground."

With that, your group ends their lunch break and continues forward. The trek through the foothills is quite tranquil for the rest of the day. The march is is mildly challenging at times and each of you lose your footing and tumble a bit along the way at one point or another, but none of you are worse for the wear from it. By late evening you arrive at the mountain pass which leads further east through the mountains. You see a clearing about a hundred feet to the north from the entrance to the pass which looks like an excellent place to set up camp. Your backs would be up against a cliff face, and the place is fairly high up, giving you a good view of the area around you. The only thing that needs to be done is to set up a watch schedule and gather up some firewood for a camp fire.
GM: I will give you guys a little while to arrange the night watch situation. Omar is capable of standing watch at some point, but Awna is a child and needs more rest then the others.
