Honestly, part of the turnoff for me is the marketing where the different systems are shown in graphics that make them look like booster packs from card games.
I haven't had problems buying modules on other VTTs (including Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, or Foundry), but this makes me think of a randomized micro transaction storefront. Even if that's not how it functions, it brings up that association.
I just don't see the need for a theatre of the mind VTT when I can do it on Discord. We're already on there, using the video and chat and voice.
