Alertness and Synergy

The description of the Alertness feat says it gives you a +2 bonus on all Listen and Spot checks. However, under the Listen and Spot skills this is called a +2 synergy bonus.

So is it an unnamed bonus or a synergy bonus?

In general it won't matter since no skill description in the PHB gives a synergy bonus to Spot or Listen. However, there may be special circumstances that a DM would give a synergy bonus on these skills.

It shouldn't ever matter since synergy bonuses stack with one another so long as they are from different sources.
