An idea for a sci-fi setting...

while both of those settings are easily found they are both a little far future for what I'm thinking, but thanks for all the feedback. I have a pretty good handle on the basics:

time period:current-ish
location: "secret" lab, somewhere remote in the U.S., covering vast acreage.

system: tweaked SWSE, the characters will be fighting the madness that such powers and situation are more than likely to cause.

Any further thoughts are more than welcome and if anyone's curious I will post the first session journal, but that is still a little ways off.

This sounds like a job for d20 Modern and Four Color to Fantasy. I really enjoyed FCtF, it was a very nice and easy to use system, with fairly easy to implement powers system. Combine that with d20 Modern and I think your all set.
