Why the need for a seperate game? Why not just a sourcebook for Buffy? Are there many people who are fans of Angel but not fans of Buffy?

Why the need for a seperate game? Why not just a sourcebook for Buffy? Are there many people who are fans of Angel but not fans of Buffy?

Most likely it's a separate license, therefore requiring a separate book.

It's a seperate licence, the power level is different (characters do tend to be more powerful on Angel), there are focus differences that need to be taken into account between the two and there is a difference in the markets.

Besides, which makes more money - a core rulebook or a supplement?
