I don't see it mentioned in the armor section. Is there any reason a wizard can't wear armor aside from feats now?

They could, but they won't.

(1) Heavier armor takes a lot of feats.

(2) If they switch to Heavy armor, they can't get their INT bonus to AC.

For leather? No. For the others? Besides the fact that the feats after leather have strength and con requirements which most Wizards wont meet? No.

The penalty is -2 to attacks. As someone else said though, for one feat (and you get TONS), you can get +2 AC just be getting leather proficiency.
