They could, but they won't. (1) Heavier armor takes a lot of feats. (2) If they switch to Heavy armor, they can't get their INT bonus to AC. -O

D DSRilk First Post Jun 9, 2008 #6 The penalty is -2 to attacks. As someone else said though, for one feat (and you get TONS), you can get +2 AC just be getting leather proficiency.
