Are bards effected by their own Inspire Courage ability?

It's not all that much of an issue, more of a curious question. In groups that have a bard character, does the ability to Inspire Courage affect everyone but the bard or everyone, including the bard?

Please include the reasoning that you use to come to your answer. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

IIRC someone asked the Sage this question, and the answer was that the bard gets the benefit.

Yes. You are your own ally, so anything that grants allies bonus applies to you as well.

Why not? Seems to fit the war chant idea. The war chant makes you braver and more couragous. Hmm, Bard/Monk for the "Chanting Monk of Beatdown"? Maybe not... but still amusing
