Everyone in the world has a favorite webcomic (and its always Penny arcade)
Blech. Not my favorite, anyway. 8-Bit Theatre is my favorite comedy webcomic, and I dunno what my favorite non-comedy webcomic is. Dominic Deegan would count if not for the fact that it's as much comedy as story. Zap! I guess, though it's kind of comedic, but mostly story I think.
There is so much potential for creative people to express their stories online to a limitlessly vast audience I find it hard to believe there are no Marvel or Manga style webcomics floating around out there, and am frustrated to admit that I simply haven't found any yet.
Hmm. Dunno if any of the comics I read are Marvel or otherwise professional-comic-bookish in style, though Zap! In Space and a few others kind of qualify. And kind of qualify as Manga or Anime-ish, though.
9th Elsewhere, Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, and one or two others I know of are in black-and-white but not drawn Manga-style (at least not quite, they're more Western art style). Hrmm...oh, AesirCorp is black-and-white and Manga-style, except for the panels going left-to-right as in Western comic books. Ghost Hunters is Manga-style and mostly black-and-white, but hasn't updated in at least 1-2 years. But there are
tons of webcomics that have an Anime or Manga art style out there, really.
Among the ones I read, comedic and non-comedic, the ones with an anime/manga art style include Chisuji, Kurenai Mashin, AesirCorp, Ghost Hunters, Inverloch, Mystic Revolution, Van Von Hunter, Paradox Lost, Wander, Eidolic Fringe, Or Anime, and the few webcomics done by Bleedman.
Konsekai: Swordwaltzer is definitely either Marvel Comics or Japanese Anime in style, but I just can't be sure which one it's closer to in style. Star Cross'd Destiny is like Swordwaltzer in that I can't quite decide which style it is, but more Anime-ish than Marvel-ish. Seraphic Blue I'm not quite sure what to classify its art style as.... AppleGeeks is more Western-comic-bookish in style than Anime-ish, but has a few Anime-ish elements. Dresden Codak is kind of Anime-style I think, but it's hard to tell.
