I've been looking at getting some new dice for myself. I was wondering if anyone had any particular dice style they really enjoyed? I have been thinking about getting these

Since I will be running a Cthulhu Game in the Fall and It might be nice to be able to roll in the dark.

FWIW, while I like the Q Workshop CoC dice, I didn't like the black dice with white glow-in-the-dark (vs. the green you pictured), since they weren't very legible in the dark. Perhaps the neon green is more visible?

Very cool dice, but really.... Who plays in the dark?

Doesnt it make it hard on the guys without glow in the dark dice?

How does any reading or writing take place?

Check these out:

Crystal Caste: Dwarven Metal™

Metal dice are way cooler than glow in the dark dice.

You dont need to turn the lights off to see how cool they are, and if anyone is giving you a problem, hitting them with your dice bag will take them down a peg or two!

I love those dice. In fact, I have an extra set of them because I misplaced one if the dice for a while. (How often do I play in the dark? Not often, but in a dim room, with a flashlight... I swear it rolls the elder sign more often!)

I'm not as much a fan of the metal dice. They scare me because I'm afraid of damaging the table. I do have some dwarven stones, though, which are great. Especially the synthetic opals.

You only have to worry about damaging tables with metal dice if you throw them high, or they have sharp corners. These are not big enough otherwise.

I do have a pair of 6 sided dice made from steel that have sharp corners. They are the size of casino dice. I dont use them too often, especially if we are playing on a wooden table!

I do like the look of metal dice but 50$ is a bit pricey. I did just discover that Q-workshop will make custom dice for people which is pretty slick. I do like the "stone" dice as well

The metal dice are expensive, but they will never wear out in your life time, can be used as a weapon in a pinch, and McGyver can use them as a fuse!
