Bag of Goodberries--Pricing Inquiry

I'm hoping to get a bag of goodberries (Item of Goodberries 1/day) for a new campaign starting in two weeks.

By the book, the cost is 360 gp (1x1x1800/5).

Does that seem reasonable? Would you adjust this up or down in price? If so, why?

Fresh berries would obviously have to be placed in the bag for it to work.

Hmm.
By the guidelines, you`re right.
But if you use these guidelines, you might be able to create "Gloves of True Strike" which gave you a +20 insight bonus to one attack per round for mere 2.000 gp, so it might be a good idea to think about it.

Maybe it would be better to work as if it was a wand. That would cost you 750 gp for 50 charges. If you use the wand only once per day, it would last 50 days.
Maybe double the price, round up, and come up with a price of 2.000 gp.

On the other hand, the price might be fair. The item allows you to heal 2d4 hitpoints per day, that isn`t much. And the (roleplaying) downside is, that every time you eat it, you feal as if you just ate a full meal. :)

Finally, you will have to ask your DM.
If he wants a higher price than 2.000 gp, than I suggest not to create or buy the item. :)

The requirement for fresh berries, their relative lack of scalable use, and the fact that they good bad so quickly makes it a relatively useless and extremely cheap item.

By the time you'd be high enough to craft it, you wouldn't really want to. Compared to the cost of crafting a wand of cure light wounds, it really isn't worth it for an item that produces goodberries.

Remember, Druids make second-rate healers. They just eat well. :)

It isn't the healing, its the feeding the whole party. Assuming it is a Druid only (spell trigger) item, make it 150% the price of a Wand of Goodberry (1st). That's 1000gp base. Why so high? Because you only want to cast this spell once per day as it is. Compare that to Murlynd's Spoon, which feeds 4 people, heals nothing, and costs 5,500gp base.

With this item, all you have to do is buy a bushel of blackberries, cast Purify Food & Water (0th level) daily to keep them fresh and you're set.

If you're playing in FR, however, 360gp is fine.

[Edit: Changed mind]
