Bijan Shah

Kultar

First Post
The huge 6' 4" figure of Bijan stood on the forcastle of the ship and drew back his bow again
and again raining arrows down on the crew of the ship they were boarding. Several men
were pinned to the deck or a wall as the 4 foot long arrows fired by Bijan. Soon the battle
was won and the pirates took the loot from the ship and pulled away. A final isnsult was
yelled by the crew of the raided ship and a evil grin from ear to ear broke out on Bijans face. As the raided ship grew more and more distant Bijan nocked one of the special arrows that he made on the voyage and drew the six foot bow back to its apex and let fly. As the arrow flew through the air it screamed as if it were alive and bent on killing the man Bijan had fired at. For the quartermile between ships the arrow screamed and found its mark in the chest of the man who had hurled the insult at Bijan. Bijan began to laugh. This was not the last time this would happen and Bijan began to be called "The Human Ballista." Soon everytime the pirate ship raided another ship Bijan would wait until the ship had pulled away and would let fly with one of his handmade arrows. It became his trade mark.

As time passed sailors told of a man who had arms the size of tree trunks, who stood the height of a giant, whos bow was made from a single tree, and fired ballista bolts from his bow. It was said that if you were lucky not to be killed in the raid but he grinned at you as the ships parted your life was forfit to the screaming arrow that would find its mark and end your life. And if some god spared you and made the arrow miss pray to whatever god you could find that the mad giant never see you again else he skin you alive and use your still living body for target practice.

Aboard the ship Bijan was the one who always went out in a storm and either steered the ship or went up the rigging. All the while he laughed as though he was challanging the storm to thwart his efforts and kill him. Some said that he had made an infernal pact. Others that he was just crazy.

Crew members said that in both cases Bijans once kelp green eyes became almost fluorescent as if the powers were inspired by a mad god. Some said he was a mad god.

Stories spread and changed yet soon the name Bijan was feared to all who were not strong willed or brave enough to think that they could take the giant.
