Blanking on Necromantic Spell

I believe, in 2e, there were one or more spells that would both drain hit points / energy levels from a target and boost the caster with temporary hit points. I can't recall the names however.

Does such a spell exist in 3e or 3.5e (more specifically in a WoTC product)? I'd be most interested in one that was FR-related, but that's not strictly necessary.

I also encountered Larloch's Minor Drain while playing Baldur's Gate, though I'm not sure if that actually appears in any products.
