And either would work. As to how we would play the game, it would be play-by-post, with the usual conventions. I would make the rolls. Each player would be responsible for updating their stat block in the character stats thread.

Eldrago the Magnificent appears to be a young lad of approximately 20 years, with a shock of blonde hair and a charming smile. He carries himself with a self-important demeanor, and speaks with a polished, civilised tongue. This suggests a certain familiarity with the more well to do citizenry of Breland. At the same time he does not have the aversion to dirt that you would expect from someone so "refined", nor any dislike of those more misfortunate than himself. He is quite happy to regale any willing listener with stories of his exploits, not all of which are credible (some may even go so far as to call these stories "fantastic"), especially given his apparent youthfulness. There are those that suggest his yarns are an attempt to hide some greater tragedy that occured in his childhood, but as to what this maybe, is anyone's guess. He enjoys spending time with the ladies, and is partial to a good wine.

Background: Eighty years ago, the Cairdal Blades dispatched a small group to northern Khorvaire as part of an effort to keep the Blood of Vol in check. The Aereni operatives were advised to blend in with society as much as possible, remaining unobtrusive between actions ordered by the Sibling Kings or Undying Court. Each of the party took the advice to a different extent, though all were known to have done at least some minor adventuring between missions. Several of them settled in or near Karrnath, and one even went so far as to marry a human.

Moravec is the result of that union. Born in Karrlakton, he was something of a troublemaker from an early age, a fact that caused his mother no end of grief. His father, a wizard with a talent for both stealth and breaking and entering, was slightly more sympathetic when he was home (he had volunteered for the assignment out of boredom with the rigidity of Aereni society). There wasn't much of a family life, as his father would be gone for a few months before returning and spending a week or two at home.

As he grew older, Moravec began to display a natural skill with magic, but was sent to Rekkenmark in an effort to instill a sense of discipline in him. The regimented lifestyle was too much for him; he hated it, though he read anything he could get his hands on in an attempt to stave off boredom.

During Moravec's last vacation from Rekkenmark, his father was also home for a time, before leaving on a mission for the Blades. The group had been ordered to assassinate a high-ranking cleric of the Blood of Vol, but the attack found him with more guards than the elves had reckoned with. They barely escaped, and Moravec's father was killed. No word came to the family of this, and Moravec returned to Rekkenmark none the wiser.

A month passed. Then another. By the middle of the third month with no word, Moravec guessed that something had gone wrong, and the idea was starting to worry him. Besides, he was sick of Rekkenmark anyway. He left the Academy in the night, striking out on his own with no particular destination in mind. That was almost six months ago.

Appearance: Tall for a half-elf, Moravec has the thin build and angular features of his father's race, though no Aereni would posess his untidy, dark brown hair that hangs nearly to his shoulders. His smoke-gray eyes are deep-set and larger than a full-blooded human's, and his clean-shaven features tend to hold a relaxed expression, though he often has a scheming look in his eye. He dresses in nondescript black and gray traveler's clothes, with a heavy brown greatcoat worn in inclement weather. A plain mace hangs in a leather sheath at his belt, and he normally carries a sling and several bullets in one of his belt pouches.

Appearance: Massif is a little shorter than your typical dwarf, but also a little wider. His dark, gold skin ripples over thick, meaty muscles, and his long blond hair is pulled back into dozens of thick ponytails. His face belies his unhappiness with being away from home as his lips are in a perpetual scowl and his brown eyes are constantly narrowed. Thus he appears much less attractive than he otherwise might. He is always dressed very simply in various earthen colored tunics that he makes no effort to keep clean. His body is unpierced as he finds that particular affectation to be somewhat silly, but he has no problems wearing rings, amulets, or other types of jewelry. In fact, a very large medallion bearing the symbol of House Deneith hangs prominently around his neck.

History: If you move throughout the Mror Holds, you will find thousands upon thousands of well-settled and urban areas filled with dwarven, gnome and human occupants. However, as you reach some of the deeper areas underneath the towering peaks... areas which begin to encroach upon orcish clans... those areas can be pretty deadly indeed. The dwarven Dungren clan has lived for hundreds of years in one small section of caverns that leads further towards several of those orcish outposts, and they have spent their lives keeping watch. These dwarves have lived a simple martial lifestyle, fighting and defending their caverns from humanoid attack. Every child who is raised in this community is taught from an early age whatever skills would be necessary to survive in this environment. Massif Dardungren is one of such children.

The third son of two honest, good-hearted parents, Massif grew up wanting to follow in his father's footsteps of combat and defense of the clan. An extremely healthy boy, Massif would spend hours upon hours running, lifting, and practicing his weaponship so that upon his graduation into adulthood he would assume his place alongside his father and brothers patrolling the tunnels of their clan's lands. This was the life he had chosen for himself, as it was the life most of his male family had chosen for themselves for several generations. However, upon his ascension to manhood, his plans were changed by a most unlikely source. With two sons having already joined as defenders of the clan, his father decided that Massif might better serve both the clan and himself by in fact LEAVING the caverns from which he had grown up, and instead plying his trade as a protector to other people who would pay handsomely for his services.

Needless to say, Massif was not pleased with this idea, as he had never any desire to leave the warm embrace of the Dungren clan. However, his respect for his elders was strong enough that when select members of House Deneith arrived to collect a number of the younger dwarven warriors to add to their protection staffs, Massif went without complaint. Thus began his stint as a member of House Deneith, working as a defender and protector for anyone who was willing to pay the House's fees. Thus far he has worked as a bodyguard for a noble and his family in Karrnath, has journeyed with a trio of wizards looking for dragonshards in the Q'barran jungles, and has made numerous forays into the Mournland with various relic hunters. Most recently he helped protect an airship flying from Aundair back to Karrnath that got assaulted by magical forces that wiped the memories of many involved.

Massif tends to be quiet and unassuming, however when it appears as though the people around him are acting in a manner that he finds stupid or foolish, he will willingly point that out to everyone else around him. This has given him the reputation of being somewhat of a whiner, but in truth he just does not suffer fools gladly. As long as everyone acts to the best of their abilities, he won’t put up much of a fuss. The one advantage of his getting riled up is that he can easily channel that rage into his fighting, and once he’s worked up it is hard to knock him back down.

If you were to speak to Massif, he would tell you he is just putting in his time with House Deneith until he is able to return home and rejoin his family. However, based on the money House Deneith is undoubtedly paying the Dungren clan for the "loan" of several of their warriors, it might very well be some time before the clan asks for him to come home. So until that happens, he will travel where the House asks him travel and protect whomever it is that is willing to pay the fees.

Appearance: Leona isn't exactly what you'd expect for a Paladin. She's toned and lithesome, but doesn't bare the muscles your usual hero would. Sleek like a cat, athletetic and nimble on her feet it's obvious the female depends more on her agility than anything. Her armor is a brown in color and actually has cat claw marks etched into the finery of the leather scratching down her chest. Though she may not resemble a religious defender, her natural charm and wisdom shine through. Beautiful tendrils of copper which are slightly unruly and fall about her face in a mane, offset her tanned flesh and brillant blues wonderfully. But beware of her temper, the femme has a tendency to be fiesty. She may even claw your eyes out!

Background: A born decendent of lycanthropes, it was only natural for Leona to find an effinity for animals. Though mocked and scorned by society, the girl grew up proud and honored to be one marked by Balinor.. as she saw it, anyway. Telling stories of her ancestors and preaching of the ways of the Beast God even before her years hit the double digits. To her, it was a marvel to be touched by fauna. Things only became more glorious when puberty came and the shifting began. Of course, it was of no surprise the girl could shift into that of a Lion.. proud and magnificant. Leona had no idea what lied ahead, but she was up for the adventure. Unfortunately, that all began too soon when her family was dragged from her home and hung - filthy lycanthropes, going to spread their disease. Then young maiden watched as her family died, helplessly. How could someone do this to another? How could the world be so unkind? Perhaps it was because they knew nothing of her background - her race. Knowing from that point on, she would never hide again. She would spread the word of Balinor and of his children. -- That was six years ago now. Having found a friend in a blind man, one who could not judge her by her looks, she learned how to wield a rapier. Because she wasn't burly and so awe-inspiring as most of her desired profession, Leona learned to rely on her catlike graces.. bobbing and weaving to dodge blows and retaliate. And then graduation day came when her mentor's friendship to her was found out. Slaughtering him while he was taking his usual walk.. Leona stepped up to the plate. No longer would she hide. No longer would she let those that didn't understand disgrace her.. her family.. her friends. The felinesque woman began to preach - calling upon the strength of Balinor to aid her in battle.. to allow her blade to do the forgiving for her. And as she prayed, her form began to take on cat-like features.. her hair seemed to blend with the fur that spouted upon her high cheeks. Her hands and feet widened and claws grew. Her teeth enlongated into razor sharp points. "Repent for your sins, and I shall spare you your life. Continue your ways, and like my ancestors, I will tear you half." Usually soothing vocals had taken on a roaring octive and though the men would have liked to stay and fight, they retreated. Running until their legs could no longer carry them. Leona didn't follow, she wasn't a cold blooded killer. She had made her point. And now, without a home, she was to wander the world.. making her point again. And again.

Ok, I have some questions concerning Eldrago I'd like to ask SecondTime, but I can't send a private message through EN (no access to that service) and I have no email address to SecondTime. Just so we can get things underway without any issues. Sometimes when questions pop-up, I find it easier if OoC questions can be settled via email, rather than clutter up IC thread, or character thread.

Leona's, attack bonus with her rapier should be +3, not +2: BAB +1, +2 from Dex for Weapon Finesse. Couldn't help noticing!
