[BoED] The saint's protective aura

Nathan

First Post
The following question has been copied over from the WotC boards where it hasn't been answered yet.

It says that it takes the Saint a free action to activate his protective aura. Can he also suppress this aura after it has been created? For how long is this aura active? Or indefinitely until deactivated?

Both spells Lesser Globe of Invulnerability and Magic Circle against Evil are emanations. Am I right assuming that the Saint's protective aura moves with him when he moves and is therefore no emanation effect?

Although it doesn't say, I'd let the Saint deactivate the aura as if it were a dismissable spell: with a standard action.

The protective aura is an emanation centered on the saint. Emanations can still move with their centerpoint. Both Lesser Globe of Invulnerability and Magic Circle Against Evil do it, so it makes sense that the Protective Aura would too.
