Can Assassins Use Greatswords?

This seems like it would be a common question, but I can't find the answer anywhere.

The assassin weapon proficiencies are a little vague. They can only use one-handed simple melee weapons, but can they use two-handed military melee blades (such as greatswords), or are they limited to one-handed military blades (such as longswords)?

Only blades. They can't use most military weapons.

No, but assassins shroud works fine with it. I recommend hidden insight though, because of the time you need to set up the improvised ballista with your bow and a chair.

Very true, tho I convinced my DM to let me have Improvised Weapon Proficiency as a house rule (makes me proficient, but at +0), thus qualifying for ki focuses (which do apply for weapon attacks if you can use a ki focus).

I like to use the gag stuff for the killing blow
