Can Minions gain temporary hp?

I find that to be a really odd ruling because temporary hit points are definitely not real hit points. So once something is down ( zero hit points) it is dead ( or unconscious as the attacker so chooses). You need to have more then 0 hit points to be conscious.

I do agree wholeheartedly with the temporary hit points on minions. If you do two damage to a minion with two or more temporary hit points you didn't damage him. He has his whole 1 hit point unmolested.

We already know that! (Or rather, I do.)

I still think it's a bad rule. If minions can get temporary hp they're no longer minions. It totally defeats the purpose of minions!

I want a rule that makes sense for minions without sacrificing the benefits of using minion monsters.
