"Well, if you're happy for my company, then I'm prepared to set out, although it might be better, as you suggested, Keldar, to stay here the night and set out first thing tomorrow. At any rate, I'll have to make arrangements to have someone watch the forge while I'm gone, which will take me an hour or so."

"If we're going on foot, I won't need any payment in advance. I assume that we can buy food at Grenton?"

With a bow to Rapture and a nod to Keldar and Tommy, the dwarf bustles off.

In far less than the hour he predicted, the door to the inn opens again, and Tarag steps inside.

"Tarag, of Tarag's Forge."

He heads over to the group and says, "Right, I'm ready. Shall we go?"

On his way out, he stops for a quick word, first with Elthic and then with Richard.

"Elthic, remember, save the dragon for when I get back!"

"Richard, good luck, lad! I'll see you again soon."

"Keen, isn't he?" says Keldar. "Alas, Rapture, our romantic dinner for two will have to wait until we return. Another night under the stars beckons, and then danger and glory..."

"Yup, that's a true adventuring party," Dobbin says to himself, eyes full of admiration and envy. "Maybe someday I'll have the chance to walk out of an inn with a small group of friends ready to face death with me."
He looks around, stilling feeling out of place in a tavern clearly built for big people, hoping to find someone who might be open to friendly discussion with a halfling sorcerer.

"I know," says Keldar. "She probably thinks she has let us down; perhaps you could seek her out and spend some time with her."

Richard seems to actually blush as he replies, "Oh, uh, oh that's... , well I, perhaps she'll feel like some company and come downstairs after awhile... " Richard turns away from the conversation, glad for Tarag's discussion covering his retreat. He turns to his ale, though he does not drink.

Turning to clasp wrists with the Dwarf, Richard smiles broadly at the smith. "Don't go getting beat up too badly, Elementals sounds like tough stuff... " the young man gets a bit wistful, then continues. "I look forward to learning more from you, so good journey and speedy return!"

Kol grumbled a bit over his drink as he seard snippets of another group not only recruiting a healer like he had hoped to do, but already had a job...

"Well I will give our traitorous orc friend one thing...He was pushy enough to get us work!" he shook his head and took another long draught.

Lokin watches Rapture across the common room as he has been since she arrived. When Kol speaks, it takes him a moment to respond.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. He was good for talking, that's for sure. Maybe we should get more aggressive in our pursuit of work. Unfortunately,I'm not very good at advertising myself. Hopefully, something will present itself."

Lokin yawns and runs a hand through his messy brown hair looking back at the pretty paladin across the bar.

"I think we should be setting out now," says Keldar firmly, putting an arm round Rapture's shapely but armoured waist, and pulling her towards the door.

Kol looks from Lokin to Rapture then back to Lokin and then to Keldar across the room.
"He isn't half the warrior you are. Hmph! He is hardly half the size. Why not just go and take her? I think I can handle the rest of them..." Kol then smiles broadly.

"Rapture calls everyone m'lord and m'lady, Tarag, except Keldar - unless she is displeased with me, which is about half the time."
Rapture breaks into a responce, that sounds almost rehersed, "All are to be called m'lord or m'lady as a sign of place and respect unless they request otherwise."

Rapture chuckles at Keldar as he escorts her out.

"That would be an excellent plan, my friend," says Keldar from the door, with a brittle smile, "if only the Lady Rapture were to hold in high esteem thugs who threaten her companions. I shall attribute your discourtesy to a woman to the tedium of your lengthy aimless wait in this tavern, and we will accept your apologies once we return; we have paid employment to complete. Farewell."
