Level Up (A5E) Combat from a vehicle

The Artificer class looks like a bunch of fun, but I have some questions about how combat from their personal vehicle (or any other vehicle, really), might work, or if it's just intended to be a more travel-centric option.

1) Mounted Combat (p 440), refers specifically to "when you are mounted on a creature". Is this intended to cover vehicles as well, or is this omission an intentional exclusion.
2) Vehicles move in response to a driver's bonus action. Could the driver still attack mid movement? This seems especially crucial since most movement options for the vehicle rules (p 343) specify you must move, specifically, the vehicle's full speed (or a specific multiple of it), instead of "up to" the vehicle's speed.
3) Would feats, maneuvers, and other class abilities referring to mounted combat apply to combat from the back of a vehicle?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Howdy! Yup combat is meant to function while driving an artificer's personal vehicle or any other vehicle for that matter.

1) That's an intentional exclusion, we wanted to make a clear dividing line between mounts and vehicles.
2) Yes the intention is that a driver can still make attacks mid-movement. Vehicles in particular can't typically turn on a dime and need to move with their momentum but attacks can still be made as you go as normal.
3) No, we specifically wanted to make that distinction and make mounts and vehicles function differently. If a feature specifies mounted combat it refers to mounts, as opposed to features that refer to drivers or driving a vehicle.

Hope that helps!
