Pathfinder 1E Complete Pathfinder SRD in MS Word Format

Hi fellow gamers,

I don't know if anyone else will find this useful, but since I spent a fair bit of time putting it together I thought I'd share it on the interwebs.

This is the complete PHB SRD for Pathfinder, in Word Doc format. https://app.box.com/s/91580lqaas6z4hhja7o5

Why you ask? Before you think what you're going to think, not its not for printing, or in any way a replacement of the real deal. No more than the hyperlink SRD on the Paizo website is.

Actually, I've put this together for my fellow creators. A few times now I've embarked on the project of building a d20-system ruleset from scratch. The first time was based on d20 Modern and Future and was the Elysium Nebula campaign setting - a fun epic science fantasy setting with lasguns and energy swords. More recently I wanted to build a more structured class-based Superheroes RPG, something closer to Pathfinder than Mutants & Masterminds is.

So why is this useful? Well, if you are writing a ruleset and you are using pieces of the SRD, copying/pasting piecemeal from the various web sources is a pain. Plus, if you do it that way, you soon start to forget what elements were SRD and what were not. So, this is a starting point for those of you that want to make use of it. Just the SRD, nothing else, formatted and collected, in a single giant and editable file.

I hope someone out there finds it valuable.

Cheers,

-Skritti

Thanks for this, I find it useful for the same reasons you do.

Longshot based on your sig: do you know where to find conversions of Chaos critters to d20? I have this idea for a low-magic (for D&D) humans-only humans-only(almost) campaign where I drop the Ruinous Powers in as the core big bads.

Well, that was fun

You know, I wrote d20 Warhammer 40,000 when I was in college like 10 years ago so I'm not surprised that's a dead link now.

You can actually download the entire thing here:

I believe chaos demons should be in there too. Good luck with the game!

Hey, would you object to putting that in the downloads area? That way folks will be able to still find it if that link gets broken when they stumble on this thread in a another 5 years!: )

My hopes of converting this to InDesign have been dashed. :(

I wanted to bring it into ID, make a 2-column version, and add some art. But ID isn't playing nicely. There seems to be something within this portion:

Badger (Wolverine)
Starting Statistics: Size Small; Speed 30 ft., burrow 10 ft., climb 10 ft.; AC +2 natural armor; Attack bite (1d4), 2 claws (1d3); Ability Scores Str 10, Dex 17, Con 15, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 10; Special Attacks rage (as a barbarian for 6 rounds per day); Special Qualities low-light vision, scent.
4th-Level Advancement: Size Medium; Attack bite (1d6), 2 claws (1d4); Ability Scores Str +4, Dex –2, Con +2.

- that ID doesn't like. At first I assumed it was something I broke, because I chopped your docx up into individual chapters to make it easier to work with. Then I tried placing the whole thing in ID and it stopped at the same place, in effect treating the docx as if it ended abruptly within that portion of the text.

It's obviously a problem in how ID imports docx files. I was reading around the web and apparently it's something to do with how MS Word handles revisions, incremental saves, or something. It delved into technobabble so I didn't get much further tracking the problem down than that.

I think I got it sorted. I don't know why it worked, but after a lot of playing around I finally tried saving everything before the Druid as one file, and everything after the Druid as another one, and then I went in and patched Druid together. The problem seemed to center around the badger and bear entries, which I had to re-format the text for by hand. Everything else was just cut-and-paste.
