Converting 2nd Ed Characters to 3.5

Hey there.

I know this may have been done to death ages ago, but I have a question about converting old 2nd Ed characters to the latest and greatest Ed.

I was emptying some boxes from my last move, hell I have to do something to fill in 4 weeks of holidays when I am broke, and I came across one of my old 2nd Ed wizard characters, Ashton Scholastic. (Do you know it took about 2 years for the other players to realize where I got the name from LoL)

Now I was am in need for a good villain in a new Eberron game I am making set in the Lhazaar Principalities, and he would fit the bill perfectly, but I have to convert him to the new Ed.

Where should I start? Are there any good sources for it on the net at all?

The WotC conversion guide for 2e->3e is here:

It should get you going.

You'll need to adjust a few things because of the 3.5e changes, but it shouldn't be that difficult.
