D&D 3E/3.5 Converting 3ed modules into 1ed

so of the stuff i noticed skimming my notes last night.

i converted the kobold sorceress to a witch doctor. using the 1edADnD DMG (1979)

upped the number of kobolds by 1.5X
upped the number of goblins too by 1.5X

made the gnome into a standard MM brownie.

used the rules for skeletons vs weapon type for the twig blights.

also used the yellow musk zombie and creeper for the base of the tree and slaves.

i do a lot of prep work.

so i ran the party thru as pregens. and then adjusted accordingly.

and then played the session with the players controlling their PCs. which meant... hardly any of the prep work saw action.

about 4 hours of prep / 1 hour of play. of which maybe 1 tenth of it was used.
