Converting Jedi classes into D&D psionic alternatives

The next Netbook of Classes update (due out in a couple of weeks) has a Jedi-style prestige class that needs levels in manifesting to achieve the class.

Won't say more than that without the author's permission, but just to say check it out when it is released!

[sigh] Really all I truly want is a skill-based magic system of the same "magic level" as the Force classes. Looking over the specific force powers again, I think I'd have to come up with a lot more on my own. Elements of magic has a few -- divination and dispel being skill based.

I really like the way "magic" is handled in the Star Wars game, and I want something that doesn't feel so completel "the Force" that I can use for other games. Maybe I oughtta have another look at Ken Hood's psionics toolkit...
