Personal Background: Krandor was born on Darkness just prior to Martech's power sturggle. His father was brought by Sector as an 'outside consultant,' and he had a good enough income to support his immediate clan. When Sector went underground, however, he was one of the fall-men. The only thing that saved Krandor was the surviving members of the clan taking him with them when he went underground.
He spent many long days with nothing to entertain him but a bit of power conduit or a small blaster pistol, until his mentor, a female named Kraw'shavik, showed him his father's Underslung Rotary Light Repeater. It was the weapon his father used, and his father before that, and so on into the annuls of history. He spent many days learning the intricacies of the rotary blaster coils and heat discharge arrays before he was fully prepared to use the weapon. When he turned old enough to qualify as a full-priviliged male in the clan, Krandor became an enforcer of the gang his family had created in the underground of Darkness.
This was a happy time in Krandor's life; he learned much and became effective at many things, from smuggling to blasted his way through armed thugs. This period ended, however, when his family was backstabbed by Martech (whom they had had a tenative agreement with). Many were killed, and he and a few distant relitives were all that made it out alive. He only survived because he was on a mission in a different parsec of the city.
For a while after that, he went into hiding, and it was there that sector contacted him with the offer to join or die. He wholeheartedly accepted, and has worked for sector for nearly 3 years.
Motivation:He is motivated by curiosity; Money is only the way to get interesting things, a means to an end. As such, he is an occasional (though not very effective) gambler. Darkness to him is a coffin, a stilfing,pit of boredom. His ultimate goal is to escape to the (much more intersting) stars and eventually ressurect his clan from the Darkness they had sunken into. His long range goals are to obtain a suit of GUI AV-1A assualt armor that he has heard rumors about being for sale (per GM discretion). He thinks that the armor is the coolest thing ever.
Short range goals include purchasing some optics and maybe a driod. While he isnt very good at tinkering, he would like to have something to play around with.
Personality: Krandor has lived all his life where being smart was regarded as an 'unmanly' trait, and usually plays down his intellegence. However, when push comes to shove, he drops the facade, to the sorrow of his enemies. He may act like a burly, slow thug, but he most certainly isnt.
He enjoys grenades, but prefers to use his repeater, Mjolnir for close work. He tends to be the 'strong-silent' type, but when he or one of his friends are threatened, he is careful to make the enemies eat their words. One thing he does enjoy is jokes; particualrly puns and derogatory humor. His laugh is a sharp toothed grin with short gasps; the Trandoshan version of laughter. Some things he loathes are traitors, rapists, and cowards; people he considers 'inferior' or 'wastes of space' he ignores unless they threaten him. In his eyes, Martech is a pit of traitors, rapists, and cowards.
Quirks:His left arm is terribly scarred, the result of a misfired grenade from his youth. What medical treatment he received was inferior, leaving scars on his arm. He considers this a mark of 'manliness' and hasnt bothered getting the scars repaired.[/sblock]
