Crafty Games, publishers of Spycraft 2.0 and nominees for 4 ENnie awards and the 2006 Diana Jones award, is on the lookout for artists for upcoming RPG projects, both PDF and print. The requirements vary per project, as follows:
Project 1) This is a gritty modern street level RPG of gangsters and cops with a film noir vibe. Art will need to be atmospheric black and white - murky greyscale art or bold pen and ink illustration are favored. Subjects will vary from over the top action scenes to foreboding mood pieces. Ability to draw realistic subjects and modern urban environments a must.
Project 2) We're looking for artists with vision to envision a near-future setting with a distinctly Asian flavor. Color art preferred. Ability to draw believable technology/cybernetics and environments/people native to the area is vital. Subjects will run the gamut from character sketches to action scenes and environments. Anime influence in the vein of Shirow or Otomo (IE not big eyes, small mouth kawaii stuff) welcome but not required.
Crafty Games pays between $80-$100 per page for art, depending on complexity of the piece, the artist's experience, and requirements of the project. We are interested in building a stable of artists, so good work on one project will likely lead to more work down the line.
