D&D 5E Cranium Rat Swarm in Wild Shape

If a druid is wild shaped as a cranium rat, and it joins a swarm, what happens? Does the druid's mind get absorbed into the hive mind until it separates from the swarm? Does the druid take control of the hive mind? Is there some kind of Intelligence or Wisdom check involved? Or would the druid just not be able to join the swarm? Also, would the druid be able to retain any of the information from the hive mind afterwards?

4. Maybe. He in the middle of the swarm and I will give him +2 to ac for cover of the other rats.
5. Maybe. If he was using for cover, then no. If he was trying to elf mind melt the swarm for information then the swarm would make a opposed INT check. Whom ever wins gets the information.

The druid might run along with the swarm, but cannot become part of the swarm. Given the swarm's psionic ability I expect it would recognise the mind of the druid as not a cranium rat, and could well be hostile.
