D&D British edition????

Okay, there is this guy on one Hungarian RPG-messageboard (yes, I come from Hungary), who claims that he bought a 3rd edition DMG in 2001 in London. So long, so good. But he also says that it is a "british edition", and that this is written somewhere on the cover.

Are there really special "british editions" of D&D? Are there any differences to the "normal" one?

I know that there were some seperate british editions of AD&D, but do these exist in 3rd edition too?

I hope some people from the UK can check out their books. Thanks in advance.

I've never seen any mention of 'British Edition' anywhere within my books

I'm pretty sure we get the same stuff as you guys in the USA do...

I've never seen anything marked as a British edition.

I am curious though are there rules for tea drinking, clarifying the glassing someone and so on?

there was a UK version of D&D. but that was back in the 80's. ;)

perhaps he meant it was in English. versus say French or Spanish.

he may just be confusing the words British and English.

"perhaps he meant it was in English. versus say French or Spanish."

No, he means British and not American. A 3.0 DMG.

Maybe the only difference is that these books were printed in the UK and not in the US and everything else is the same?

I don't want to believe that a complete stranger lied to us.
