Limit Break Dancing (He/They)
I'd never watched any of Aabria Iyengar's stuff until she started DMing for Critical Role's "Exandria Unlimited" miniseries. I was pretty skeptical about a newcomer to the established group, and what kind of energy she might bring, but that passed pretty quickly after the first game. I appreciated her grasp of the rules, but I absolutely love how she doesn't let the rules bludgeon the players or crash the story (she uses "failing forward" mechanics, for example.) She also changed my mind about Inspiration...an optional rule that I never really cared for, but now I can actually see how useful and fun it can be.
So after "Exandria Unlimited" wrapped, my wife and I watched all four episodes of "Misfits and Magic," the actual play show for Dimension20 that uses the Kids on Brooms RPG (and has Aabria as the GM). It was a lot of fun, too. And for my nickel, I thought the storytelling was better than "Exandria." I recommend that show to anyone who enjoys watching Dimension20 or Critical Role--and to anyone who is downvoting her because "they've never heard of her before."
