d20 Menace Manual - one goof, one easter egg

Paging through the d20 Menace Manual and found the following:

1. Somebody in layout loves the legal profession. On pages 101-2, you can find stat blocks for low-, mid-, and high level Attorneys. Then, on pages 113-114, you can find identical stats for low-, mid-, and high-level Lawyers.

2. In the description of the Six-Fingered Hand on page 209, it describes the origins of this wicked cult....

Apparently, the Six-Fingered Hand has always had the goal of destroying the world. In the 1880s, the cult had a reason for this goal that involved some supernatural force called "The Red Death." This devil-like spirit was somehow everywhere and nowhere at once, and it tempted and corrupted people to do terrible things. The Six-Fingered Hand believed the only way to stop this spirit of malevolence was to destroy the world.

A shout-out to Ravenloft fans and Living Death players! Who'd have thought it? Of course, this leads to the question of whether the d20MMverse is set within the context of Masque of the Red Death.

Well, I don't think there is a single d20MMverse. But there's no reason why Gothic Earth couldn't have evolved into the Shadow Chasers universe, 110 years down the line, since the Red Death was such a mysterious force.

And I kinda like the idea, even if it means that the Red Death/Shadow changed somewhat over time. It would be interesting to update some of the other cabals to modern day, and give the heroes a sense of legacy.

You do know that Masque of the Read Death was a Edgar Allen Poe story long before it was a Ravenloft setting, right?

Actually the goof is they both should be under fiends (this joke brought to you by this thread http://www.enworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=64492)

As for Easter Eggs, there is a whole chocolate factories worth of Alternity eggs; A large chunk of monsters, Final Church and Hoffmann Institute.

Now if they had just thrown in Orion, the WEB, and F.R.E.E.Lancers...

[F.R.E.E.Lancers, you'll recall, was set in the future. The 1990s. Good times.]

So which one do I apply the bloodsucking vampire template to? :D

Here's a goof (or a moment of lucidity, depending on which way you look at it.) The sand slave's "hot running" ability allows it to recover nonlethal damage. You don't accumulate nonlethal damage in d20 modern last I checked.
