Disney Buys DC: Who Joins The MCU?

No, nobody joins the MCU. Disney buys DC Comics and forms a new movie studio to make DCEU movies. They quietly rebuild the DCEU and the Justice League franchise, with an eye on multiversal stories and "stunt casting" MCU alums as cameos and even extras in DCEU movies... while the MCU plods along as normal, except for their own weird cameos, with their second-gen MCU stars.

JLA builds up to and completes their Endgame moment and announces they're going to do a Crisis as a soft reboot-- having both the original actors and newer younger actors playing different versions of the same characters.

Except that instead of doing a Crisis, DC does a Crisis To Be Continued, while Marvel does a Secret Wars To Be Continued and then... after both movies have had their run, and people are starting to hold their breaths for the sequels... Disney announces that their next Big Superhero Movie is going to be called Amalgam.

Afterwards, both multiverses break and bow and go their separate ways, but at least one per Phase (each), there's a standalone movie or a Disney Plus TV show about crossover stuff.

My preference would be to keep them separate except for rare crossover events. Putting Batman or Supes in the MCU would cause such a backlash it might crash both franchises.

That said I'd be entertained by
  • Nova Lantern Corps
  • Lobo hunting Adam Warlock and GotG
  • Booster Gold to join Antman
  • Teen Titans vs any of Batmans rogues gallery would be great
  • Swamp Thing and Solomon to join the Marvel Monsters

Damn, I completely forgot the LSH, who are 100% DC's premier created-as-a-team (plus a few crossover characters) team. The futuristic Guardians of the Galaxy (not the ones in the MCU) are embarrassingly dumb, so there's definitely space for them in the Marvel Universe. Tonally, they're pretty different, but put a few good Spider-Man writers on the job (not Bendis, who made a weird mess of the LSH) and it should be good.
Well, they’d be able to incorporate the LSH straight up instead of rebranding them as the Shi’ar Imperial Guard… like they did in the comics. So that would be something.

The Shi'ar adding a second Timber Wolf knock-off to the Marvel Universe (after Wolverine) was a weird moment. (Wolverine has obviously evolved in interesting ways and is a lot more developed than Timber Wolf is now.)

The ones I’d most WANT to see cross over would be Mister Mxyzptlk and Assassin Bug. They could do a contest with The Impossible Man & Deadpool.
