DM Only Forum

So I'm coming over to the EnWorld boards from WOTC where they had a DM only forum. I don't post much but loved reading it. What's my best way to find great DM threads on here?

It's actually worth noting that being a DM is the default assumption on ENWorld, rather than being exceptional. I suppose that may have to change now.

But, you could try doing a search for "Hot Threads & Posts". It lists popular topics as selected by people who bothered to log in and give them XP, or laugh at them. Mind you, it doesn't go all the way back, just as far as when the XP system was started.

DM only? How on Earth do you manage that? I mean, really, on the internet - how would you know who is and who isn't a DM for a game?

I'd just go to the edition forum of your choice and read the subjects on posts. DM's seeking advice are pretty easy to pick out.

You could password protect the forum like an 80s video game. "What is the 4th word on line 3 of page 226 of the DMG?" Since everyone knows Gary Gygax forbade non-DMs from owning copies of the DMG, that should be completely secure.

I don't think he wants it to be locked down to DM's only.
Just to have a place where the focus lies on DM questions or a way to filter on those questions.

Not a bad idea and something I looked for also when I was a new DM visiting Enworld.

On Reddit for example there are different subreddits for this.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskGameMasters/ : New DM questions for any tabletop RPG
https://www.reddit.com/r/DnDBehindTheScreen : Creative ideas for DnD
https://www.reddit.com/r/loremasters : original lore, story arcs, sub-plots, and plans for quests and encounters of all sizes.
