It sounds like the Rogue player is hoping the 2 week gap in time will cause the other players to forget a detail, so that their characters will not ask his character about it. That kind of crossover is inappropriate. It was doubly inappropriate to put you on the spot by telling you he hoped they would forget. That makes you feel like you are betraying a trust either way.

In reality, though, you are not. The player has no right to "trust" you not to tell the others exactly what happened. You get to decide what to tell the players, and the Rogue player's hopes that they will forget should not be a factor one way or the other.

If the group is used to you summarizing events, you should not change your habit this time. Run the summary exactly as you would have if the Rogue's player had said nothing. If he asks about it, tell him it was inappropriate to "encourage" you to leave it out. However, the players should be responsible for keeping their own notes and remembering important details.
