Do your villians have a profession?

Hmmm, one of the major villains in my current adventure is an expert with Profession (merchant). One of the big baddies is the owner of a security and investigation agency - based loosely on the Pinkertons...

Yeah, my bad guys often to have lives beyond 'Villain with no Visible Means of Support'.

Nothing really, but it's a good cover and if you like dead people, even better.

Plus, killing people = more money for you.

Being a villain is a fulltime occupation. Crazy schemes to make, bullying your henchmen, choosing evil wardrobe, torturing prisoners, kicking kittens, etc .. all that takes time. No time for legitimate businesses or making money.

But if they have no time to make money, explain how they can afford lunch*?
