[imagel]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/litlbeast/kitsunthumbnail.jpg[/imagel][title]The Yonhosu Valley is isolated geographically from the rest of the Empire. To the east, the peaks of the Torayama mountains rise into the clouds. To the north and west, the Shirokage mountain chain stands littered with ancient ruins from a bygone age. To the south, the rocky shore meets the stormy waters of the Arashi-Enkai sea.

The Kitsunemori, or Fox Forest, blankets half of all the land in the valley. Human roads crisscross the forest, warded against spirits by prayer strips and ceremonial ribbons. Only the boldest traveler will follow an unmarked and unwarded path - for the creatures of the forest do not take kindly to intruders.

For uncounted centuries a strained peace has existed between the human villagers of the valley and the beings of Kitsunemori. The boundaries of the forest were once respected; spirits once avoided human contact. Now, unrest, greed and political ambition are spreading throughout the Empire and the former peace of the Yonhosu Valley is beginning to unravel.

The mounting hostility between human civilization and forest creatures is only fueling the fire that threatens to consume the Yonhosu Valley. Disorder and discord fill the land, and a long-forgotten enemy reaps the rewards, lurking in wait for the right time to emerge.[/title]

“Kitsunemori doesn’t just set the standard for Asian-style RPGs, but utterly blows away the competition in doing so. If I could have given this product more than five out of five stars, I would have, because it deserves them. GMs who want to run a Japanese-themed d20 game not only owe it to themselves and their players to buy this book, but quite honestly shouldn’t be looking anywhere else. If you want the definitively last word in fantasy-Japanese d20 games, Kitsunemori is it.”
