Sounds like your real problem isn't so much being grappled as being targetted in the first place.

Have you considered the benefits of Mirror Image? It's only second level, so it's not sucking up your high level slots. Good chance the baddies won't grab you on the first try, and if they don't, then your fighter buddies will make them pay for coming into full attack range.

Also, have a talk with your DM.

If your enemies aren't intelligent, then they aren't smart enough to do the "take out the wizard" tactics.

If they are intelligent, then they're going to realize that grappling you means that they're vulnerable to the fighters standing right next to you. Which could be very dangerous to them. It doesn't put them in a good position to run away ast if things go bad.

Talk to the rogue in your group. He can sneak attack the grappler because he will be denied his dex to AC to anyone that's not you.

The best way for you to avoid being grappled is to procure a ring of freedom of movement. You cannot be grappled while you wear it.
