Can a creature with DR damage a creature with the same DR..?? Ex. can an unarmed devil with DR 10/+2 hit a celestial with 10/+2 and visa versa???

More interesting question. Can a balor with a silly vorpal +1 greatsword automatically kill a celestial with DR30/+3 with a critical hit even if his critical hit does not cause any damage :D?

No, read the DMG, page 74. If the DR completely negates the damage, it also negates most special damage.

Doesnt it seem strange that a celestial fighting a devil or demon, (both having DR) that neither could hurt each other w/o magic weapons of some kind?????

But they can hurt each other, right? Thats what Zhure's answer above meant. They both have the same DR, so they can both bypass each others DR....

A creature with DR can damage creatures with DR equal to or less than its possessed DR.

But that's only with natural weapons.

No the barb doesn't get to bypass all damage reduction with his 1/- :D
