So, what's the current speculation on the power source and role of the Artificer?

I'm looking forward to just about everything there. Awesome.

As for the artificer, I would hazard a guess at Arcane Leader.

In 3.5 they were basically Role: Leader Sub Role: SuperLaserRobotJesus

My Artificer was basically a blaster (converted to reflavored warlock) but the class as a whole was very leadery. I'm fine with this.

Hopefully it will go into loving detail about how Cormyr is now a burned-out, demon-haunted ruin. I don't think it will, but I can hope!

That navel thing is bizarre and creepy. I do hope there's an explanation for it beyond the obvious:

1) OMG navels are pornography! (I dunno, maybe they are on the moon or something)

or

2) Artist is suffering from brain problems

Maybe it's just "Artist is nearly finished but not quite".

She's a navel-pact artificer. Giving up your belly-button for powers is a pretty sweet deal.
