In today’s Unearthed Arcana, we explore character options from the Dragonlance setting. This playtest document presents the kender race, the Lunar Magic sorcerer subclass, the Knight of Solamnia and Mage of High Sorcery backgrounds, and a collection of new feats, all for use in Dungeons & Dragons.

Kender have a (surprisingly magical) ability to pull things out of a bag, and a supernatural taunt feature. This magical ability appears to replace the older 'kleptomania' description -- "Unknown to most mortals, a magical phenomenon surrounds a kender. Spurred by their curiosity and love for trinkets, curios, and keepsakes, a kender’s pouches or pockets will be magically filled with these objects. No one knows where these objects come from, not even the kender. This has led many kender to be mislabeled as thieves when they fish these items out of their pockets."

Lunar Magic is a sorcerer subclass which draws power from the moon(s); there are notes for using it in Eberron.

Also included are feats such as Adepts of the Black, White, and Red Robes, and Knights of the Sword, Rose, and Crown.

More or less, yes. They don't restart his history as time goes on. It's not a reboot like they do with Spiderman who every 10 years gets bitten by a new spider and starts a newish take on Spiderman.

James Bond is the person. Only the 00 designation goes to a new agent. They aren't reboots, because nothing is rebooted. Yes, they make some minor changes to minor characters over the years. These movies are just continuations of the same character, but updated with the times.
I would think that every time they do Casino Royale it is a Bond reboot, same with say a movie called Dr. No

I would agree that every time they do Casino Royale it's a reboot, but since in the Eon timeline Casino Royale has only been made once they haven't really had a reboot. The one with Daniel Craig is the first time any of the Eon movies have had that story adapted (and it can be viewed as much as a prequel to the other stories on a sliding timeline as an actual reboot).

I doubt they'll ever remake the James Bond movies explicitly - the sliding timeline continuity of the films and the idea that all of these guys are the same James Bond is part of their charm. (Also remaking some of those movies in the modern era would be ... well, they'd either require extensive re-writes or they wouldn't get made. Might as well make a new movie instead so that the fans don't get angry about it).

The other Casino Royales were the one with CIA agent Jimmy Bond in a made for tv movie in the 50s (actually an episode of Climax! but all of those episodes were basically mini-movies), and the comedy version from the 60s of which we shall not speak. (I do love American agent Jimmy Bond tho - talk about missing the point of a character).

So is Sean Connery’s Bond, who was active in the 60’s, the same person as Craig’s Bond, active 50 years later?

If not, why do they have the same name? The fact that 007 is a designation has been confirmed in the movies, but the “James Bond” name is not associated with the 007 rank. In the latest James Bond, Bond continues to go by James Bond even after he leaves MI6, and the new 007 doesn’t go by James Bond.

What about Ernst Stravo Blofeld? Is the Christopher Waltz version the sane character who was killed 60 years ago? What about Felix Leiter? Somewhere along the line he turned into a black man? Why is everyone surprised by the existence of Spectre in the Craig Bond films if it is the same entity they have been fighting since the 60s?

The Bond films are pretty clearly reboots.
My personal favourite take on Bond was a fanfic I read years ago where Bond was a Time Lord

James Bond, Simpsons and characters from comics live in a "floating timeline".

* Hederick the Theocrat could be an interesting dark lord in a dread domain next to Sithicus.

* When I read the lore of Dragonlance I feel like a little children watching a old toy from decades ago, creating new stories about possible uchronies, for example the order of the seekers had got powers, but practically there were really psionic ardents, and their deities were "real", relatively, really they were something like Vestiges. When you get inspiration, then it is a good setting.

* The cult of the worn could be useful as a Lovecraftian cult trying to summon a kaiju. The shadow dragons could create their own secret agencies.

* Where were the sea dragons and the anphi dragons were the age of despair? Could be hunted to use them for any magic experiment? What if an anphi dragon was a dark lord cursed by the dark powers, but gifted with the creation of weretoads?

Well considering they have killed off James Bond I really do wonder where the franchise is going now. Personally I would prefer if they time skipped 20 years and have his daughter deal with the fallout of her ancestry.

If not for the fact that all of them were named James Bond and the fact that Dalton's Bond bad memory with marriage gets mentioned in one of the movies, the fact that "007" is more a code name/clearance would explain why there were multiple 007s and they all looked different.

Same thing with Blofeld: He had a habit of making doubles that had his same exact face via Plastic Surgery. One of the Bond movies even shows this where one such double is killed by Bond during a surgical procedure. Not to mention using said plastic surgery to change his own face as well to explain different actors playing as Blofeld.

Honestly, Bond continuity goes straight out the window after From Russia with Love IIRC. Despite the fact they "settled" the Bond/Blofeld thing with Roger Moore's James Bond during the beginning opening of Thunderball.
