WotC was throwing a bunch of Dreamscape minis at everyone at GenCon. When we got home we had about 4-6 of five different creature molds. My wife and I surgically removed them from their bases, glued them to 1-inch round bases from Games Workshop, and now have a bunch of new D&D minis.

THAT's how I'll use Dreamblade minis with d20. ;)

Now THAT'S a damn good idea.

Dreamblade has my interest also but I can not get packs around here. Maybe in Albany this weekend.

Heroscape I bought for my son this past July and he and his friends are hooked. I have played it several times and it is indeed simple without being boring. Most of the figures work well as said before. I want to but one if only for the dragon.

I looked up the expansion sets on the website and there are something like 17 :boosters" and 3 expanded terrain / themed sets. More dragons!

...I surgically removed them from their bases, glued them to 1-inch round bases from Games Workshop...

That's also what I plan to do :)

I was taking a look at some of the Dreamblade minis on the WotC site the other day... and thought that they looked kinda cool. I've since found on online store in the UK that is selling singles... so I've ordered a couple of commons (to see what they look like and to compare scale) as they look like they may be of use in D&D.

As an example...

This one looks perfectly usable as 'animated object' from the MM

A Chain Golem maybe? (MM2)

It's not very 'umber' but a bit of a 'hulk' ;) (MM)

Boneclaw? (MM3)

All the above are cheap commons (cost me about £0.50 each )... so I shouldn't feel so bad about hacking the bases off when they arrive :)

What is the URL for this store? I ask as some of those minis look pretty sweet and buying them singly appeals both to getting the figures I want (and easing the burden on my poor wallet).

The Dreamblade base is about the same size as the old smaller Large base in DDM. Any of the bigger DB figs make serviceable Larges. The Noble Dragon is my favourite, but it occured to me after leaving the store that there were also some that would make good figures for Denizens of Avadnu or other non-WotC monster books.

Heh, haven't figured out how to upload pics, if so I'd have doozies. :)

That's extremely simple. :)

When you post a reply, scroll down and hit the *Manage Attachments* button.

On the PopUp hit *Browse* and navigate to the picture file on your file system.
Do that with the pictures you want to upload in that post. Then hit *Upload*.
Wait a moment and hit *Close this Window*. Voilá!

I also plan on taking a lot of my Dreamblade figs and putting them on bases for my D&D game. (Not that I don't like playing Dreamblade--it's a very cool game.)

If I get around to it, I'll post on my website the stats I put together for the creatures I do end up using.
