Druid Class question

Baileyborough

First Post
This is in relation to the class feature "Balance of Nature".
From my reading of PHB2, it seems to say that a druid can only have up to 2 beastform abilities at a time. Ever.
Is this correct? It just seems very tedious to have to constantly retrain over and over just to keep that small number of beastform abilities.

You begin with three at-will attack powers. Throughout your career, at least one of those powers, and no more than two, must have the beast form keyword. By this means, you have access to useful attacks in either beast form or humanoid form.

Relevant section bolded.

Okay, so to sound terminally moronic, my player's Char could technically have all the encounter an daily Beastform he likes, as long as he only has 2 at wills?

A human druid could have three at-will beast-form powers, though. The other power would have to be non-beast-form. The key, there, being the "at least one" bit of the sentence. A human druid could have 3 beast and 1 caster, 2 beast and 2 caster, or 1 beast and 3 caster powers.

Yay, flexibility! :)

(Or was this too obvious to point out?)

The key here is actually that it says "No more then two" so you're incorrect. Humans could go 2 Beast Form (which is the absolute most you're allowed), 2 Caster.

Actually, "no more than two" modifies "of those powers," which refers to the 3 at-will granted by the class.

The at-will granted by human is fair game and you can take a beast form power with it, making a total of 3 (+1 non-beast form).
