"I guess I should submit my resume.
Where is this Matilda of whom you speak?
Could you accompany me there yourself?"
With a nod, Ribeye waits for you to gather your things and escorts you over to Matilda (Morvannon and Magnus) on your way there, you spot Kamotz coming out of an alley with a grin of accomplishment upon his face...

[sblock=OOC to All]Now is the time that y'all can come back together, and feel free to RP the sharing/connecting of information with each other. No matter where your rally point turns out to be, Ribeye won't be far away because he'll still be keeping an eye on Mikara.

Also, each individual string counted as one success, which means...[/sblock]

Trotting out, tongue wagging, Kamotz can't wait to deliver his news.

Pez was really nice, other than the pickpocketing... but that wasn't his fault, it was mine, I did tackle him... Maybe I'll get to meet a Red Boot soon and find another place to search for Death... Isn't that Mikara and Tristan, it is! And they have a Red Booted fellow with them! Where are they headed... Well, where the pack goes...

Kamotz doesn't hurry to catch up, he follows along at a leisurely stroll, noting the various artists works.

now making sure to keep a closer eye on his pockets after the incident with Pez...

Tristan nods his greetings to the others as the reconvene. He looks over his shoulder at Ribeye, and leans in, keeping his voice soft.

"Well, it seems the single source supply is enforced by a third party, and not the artists directly. Our red-footed friend suggested that they were looking for another charcoal sketcher, but mentioned only Matilda, no others. Perhaps our man was operating outside of the guild? But he certainly would have been run off, much as we were.

What did the woman have to say for herself?"

Morvannon catches a glimpse of Tristan and Mikara approaching. *Hmm, wonder what that's about.*
*good question. make sure to talk about it as loudly as possible in front of new friend. that won't be suspicious at all.*
*Ack!*

He puts on an expression of embarrassed concern. "Oh, I'm sorry miss, I hate to bring it up but," he gestures to his own face, "you've got, um..." pointing to the areas where the artist has charcoal smudges.

[sblock=ooc to all]I assumed we were all gathering together somewhere in between the three, not inside Mathilda's stall. If neccessary, Tristan will lead everyone away before speaking his piece. He wouldn't have said it in front of her.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]hafrogman, I'm sorry if my post came across as critical; I truly did not intend it that way. I was trying to play off SeaPainter's mention of the charcoal smudging to see if I could get the artist out of the way before you guys arrive.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]I didn't think it was critical, RedBeard. I just wanted to make sure we're all working from the same point for now. That way we can minimize confusion, get our information sorted and decide the best next step as a group. :)[/sblock]

Kamotz finally reaches the group and looks from the man in the Red Boots to everyone else, he decides to make a joke, but realizes men in Red Boots may not enjoy funny business.

Kamotz readies himself for a bad reaction, but thinks it's a good joke anyway.

I caught and ate that street urchin guys! He was soooo good.

He waits a moment to see the reaction before continuing.

I'm kidding, the little fella was a nice young lad. Pez is safe and sound and a few gold richer than before.

Kamotz turns to the man in Red Boots

Excellent program you have set up for the Poe Eye's sir, Paying to tell the truth pays in moral character as well as physical gold. Pez told me your crew doesn't like it when valuables find themselves "misplaced" from nobles while they are associated with this area, is that true?

[sblock=OOC]
Kamotz uses total defense before telling his joke, expecting to be attacked by the guard.

DM- feel free to roll a diplomacy assist for me if anyone decides to make that the last check. (and talks to ribeye for it) Otherwise this is just for fun.

Magnus wandered away from the artist, down the street a ways where he seemed to occupy himself scratching marks in the dirt with his staff. He kept muttering to himself as it seemed was his habit, but it was not as simple as that.

A fleeting whisper drifted over some of the group, faintly carrying the dwarf's voice.

Come away...come away...hehehe...There are things our borrowed eyes should not hear.

[sblock=ooc]

Magnus uses ghost sound to whisper to as many members of the group as he can without including Matilda or Ribeye in the area of effect that can hear him.

Tristan shrugs and wanders off after Magnus, even further down the street. Once he finds himself near enough to the dwarf, he whispers back.

"The Redboot is following us. Unless we leave entirely, he'll always be just over our shoulders. Just keep your voice low, and he should leave us alone."
