Why do the bases have little indentions in them? Does the company make terrain that these things snap to? Anyone know?

Yes, they do have a purpose, it is undeclared at this time however.

My first thought was "Evard's Black Tentacles"

They look cool.......Can always use tentacle markers for my "Entangle" spell.

I like the vine one too. I'd definitely pick some of these up (as they can fill a few roles) if the pricing isn't horrible.

About the indentations... hmm. Those look awfully like what you see on a two-by-two circular Lego piece. Just sayin'.

The indentations are probably either for snap-on terrain, or for inter-locking condition markers stacking beneath the mini. Either way these look cool, and I'll probably pick some up as long as they're not outrageously priced (and available in UK!).
